While obtaining her bachelor degree, Dominique participated in the co-op program, doing three work terms in research laboratories, the CHUL research center, and at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Her Masters research was conducted in Professor Deslongchamps' laboratories and involved studies towards total synthesis of natural products. After graduating, she worked as a research associate for Methylgene Inc. in Montreal prior to joining the firm. She held a patent searcher position for several years before becoming a patent agent trainee. Dominique continues to provide searches.
